Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 1.59% to hit a new all time high, while the index added 1.82%, and the index climbed 1.98%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 8.14% or 18.70 points to trade at 248.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) added 6.90% or 1.05 points to end at 16.34 and Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) was up 5.33% or 9.20 points to 181.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which fell 1.61% or 7.90 points to trade at 484.30 at the close. Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.22% or 1.50 points to end at 121.95 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) was down 0.95% or 0.32 points to 33.35.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 6.21% to 9.10, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 5.55% to settle at 39.97 and Aurubis AG (ETR:) which gained 5.18% to close at 66.00.
The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 0.92% to 14.05 in late trade, Scout24 AG (ETR:) which lost 0.70% to settle at 77.80 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 0.44% to 27.02 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which rose 9.21% to 67.60, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was up 8.14% to settle at 248.30 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) which gained 4.31% to close at 67.70.
The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 0.92% to 14.05 in late trade, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which lost 0.49% to settle at 26.35 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 0.44% to 27.02 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 402 to 219 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 5-year highs; up 6.90% or 1.05 to 16.34.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.86% to 14.95.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.17% or 4.50 to $2,689.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.12% or 1.48 to hit $68.21 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.85% or 1.35 to trade at $71.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 100.31.
