Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the gained 0.91% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the were Syensqo SA (EBR:), which rose 5.61% or 4.23 points to trade at 79.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (EBR:) added 4.74% or 0.54 points to end at 11.94 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:) was up 2.77% or 5.30 points to 196.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UCB SA (EBR:), which fell 1.53% or 2.50 points to trade at 161.35 at the close. Proximus NV (EBR:) declined 0.91% or 0.07 points to end at 7.04 and Sofina (EBR:) was down 0.55% or 1.40 points to 254.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 75 to 30 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.94% or 25.30 to $2,669.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.55% or 0.37 to hit $68.04 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.38% or 0.27 to trade at $71.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 100.21.
