Meanwhile, Polyus PJSC (MCX:) added 2.65% or 349.50 points to end at 13,539.00 and GDR ROS AGRO PLC ORD SHS (MCX:) was up 2.63% or 33.00 points to 1,286.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Magnit PJSC (MCX:), which fell 7.60% or 430.50 points to trade at 5,236.50 at the close. ROSSETI PJSC (MCX:) unchanged 2.48% or 0.00 points to end at 0.08 and TKS Holding MKPAO (MCX:) was down 2.42% or 63.50 points to 2,560.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 186 to 66 and 3 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.96% or 25.40 to $2,684.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.80% or 2.59 to hit $70.76 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.23% or 0.17 to trade at $74.60 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.01% to 95.85, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 106.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 100.94.
