Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the rose 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the were Prosus (AS:), which rose 2.97% or 1.18 points to trade at 40.90 at the close. Meanwhile, BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:) added 2.95% or 3.25 points to end at 113.50 and ASM International NV (AS:) was up 2.20% or 12.80 points to 594.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:), which fell 1.64% or 2.00 points to trade at 120.00 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) declined 1.25% or 0.39 points to end at 30.86 and Randstad NV (AS:) was down 0.97% or 0.43 points to 43.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 49 to 47 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Prosus (AS:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 2.97% or 1.18 to 40.90.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.32% or 0.22 to $70.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.27% or 0.20 to hit $73.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 17.70 to trade at $2,672.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 101.26.
