Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.05%, while the index fell 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:), which rose 2.24% or 1.33 points to trade at 60.64 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) added 1.06% or 0.28 points to end at 26.29 and Thales (EPA:) was up 0.92% or 1.35 points to 147.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA:), which fell 3.07% or 1.08 points to trade at 34.13 at the close. Renault SA (EPA:) declined 2.89% or 1.09 points to end at 36.66 and Kering SA (EPA:) was down 2.42% or 6.05 points to 243.45.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexity (EPA:) which rose 3.75% to 12.74, Viridien SA (EPA:) which was up 3.12% to settle at 33.75 and Sopra Steria Group SA (EPA:) which gained 3.07% to close at 191.10.
The worst performers were Air France KLM SA (EPA:) which was down 5.52% to 7.95 in late trade, Emeis SA (EPA:) which lost 4.09% to settle at 5.25 and Derichebourg (EPA:) which was down 3.85% to 5.00 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 275 to 210 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Emeis SA (EPA:) fell to all time lows; down 4.09% or 0.22 to 5.25.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.63% or 16.90 to $2,673.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.36% or 0.25 to hit $70.08 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.24 to trade at $73.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 101.26.
