Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.90%, while the index declined 0.78%, and the index lost 1.24%.
The best performers of the session on the were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:), which rose 1.50% or 0.50 points to trade at 33.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 1.11% or 0.32 points to end at 29.18 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 0.90% or 0.15 points to 16.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:), which fell 3.57% or 1.45 points to trade at 39.14 at the close. Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) declined 3.48% or 1.98 points to end at 54.88 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was down 2.92% or 0.98 points to 32.59.
The top performers on the MDAX were Traton SE (ETR:) which rose 1.07% to 28.35, TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which was up 0.99% to settle at 11.79 and GEA Group AG (ETR:) which gained 0.53% to close at 45.10.
The worst performers were K+S AG (ETR:) which was down 2.66% to 11.33 in late trade, Hypoport AG (ETR:) which lost 2.44% to settle at 288.00 and Lanxess AG (ETR:) which was down 2.32% to 28.60 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.89% to 41.94, PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which was up 2.31% to settle at 12.38 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which gained 1.96% to close at 88.65.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 3.41% to 17.26 in late trade, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which lost 2.86% to settle at 29.76 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.12% to 5.99 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 415 to 165 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in GEA Group AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.53% or 0.24 to 45.10.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.40% to 18.38.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.07% or 1.80 to $2,671.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 4.41% or 3.09 to hit $73.19 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 4.18% or 3.09 to trade at $76.99 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 101.79.
