Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Renault SA (EPA:), which rose 2.95% or 1.09 points to trade at 38.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Thales (EPA:) added 1.90% or 2.80 points to end at 150.10 and Orange SA (EPA:) was up 1.72% or 0.17 points to 10.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:), which fell 4.45% or 11.00 points to trade at 236.35 at the close. Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:) declined 4.18% or 5.50 points to end at 125.95 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) was down 3.57% or 24.30 points to 655.50.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Emeis SA (EPA:) which rose 6.98% to 5.73, Air France KLM SA (EPA:) which was up 2.95% to settle at 8.38 and Renault SA (EPA:) which gained 2.95% to close at 38.09.
The worst performers were Remy Cointreau (EPA:) which was down 6.37% to 61.75 in late trade, Mersen (EPA:) which lost 6.29% to settle at 26.80 and Aperam SA (AS:) which was down 4.69% to 26.80 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 292 to 208 and 97 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mersen (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.29% or 1.80 to 26.80.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.26% or 33.60 to $2,632.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.41% or 3.40 to hit $73.74 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 4.41% or 3.57 to trade at $77.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 102.31.
