Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the lost 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the were UCB SA (EBR:), which rose 0.85% or 1.40 points to trade at 166.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Elia (EBR:) added 0.74% or 0.70 points to end at 95.90 and Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR:) was up 0.70% or 1.30 points to 186.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umicore SA (EBR:), which fell 5.79% or 0.67 points to trade at 10.90 at the close. Syensqo SA (EBR:) declined 4.95% or 3.91 points to end at 75.03 and Aperam SA (AS:) was down 4.69% or 1.32 points to 26.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 74 to 29 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.33% or 35.50 to $2,630.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.47% or 3.45 to hit $73.69 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 4.45% or 3.60 to trade at $77.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.32.
