Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the fell 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the were Telefonica (BME:), which rose 1.34% or 0.05 points to trade at 4.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena SME SA (BME:) added 1.08% or 2.00 points to end at 187.70 and Grifols SA (BME:) was up 0.82% or 0.07 points to 9.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:), which fell 4.47% or 3.85 points to trade at 82.20 at the close. Bankinter (BME:) declined 3.16% or 0.25 points to end at 7.66 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:) was down 3.15% or 0.18 points to 5.53.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 138 to 66 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aena SME SA (BME:) rose to all time highs; up 1.08% or 2.00 to 187.70.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.16% or 27.40 to $2,341.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.25% or 0.20 to hit $81.09 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.18% or 0.15 to trade at $85.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 105.44.
