Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the were Stellantis NV (BIT:), which rose 1.94% or 0.23 points to trade at 12.22 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (BIT:) added 1.68% or 0.43 points to end at 25.75 and Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:) was up 1.67% or 0.09 points to 5.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DiaSorin SpA (BIT:), which fell 1.15% or 1.20 points to trade at 103.05 at the close. Amplifon (BIT:) declined 1.13% or 0.31 points to end at 27.06 and Poste Italiane SpA (BIT:) was down 0.43% or 0.06 points to 12.66.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 315 to 186 and 51 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.35% or 0.26 to $73.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.60% or 0.46 to hit $76.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 1.95 to trade at $2,633.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 102.61.
