Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the were Nos SGPS SA (ELI:), which rose 1.81% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.66 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:) added 1.41% or 0.05 points to end at 3.88 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 0.64% or 0.11 points to 17.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:), which fell 2.47% or 0.43 points to trade at 16.78 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 2.29% or 0.06 points to end at 2.47 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) was down 1.39% or 0.01 points to 0.43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 4.73% or 3.66 to $73.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.93% or 3.64 to hit $70.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 18.55 to trade at $2,684.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 102.96.
