Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which rose 1.30% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) unchanged 0.47% or 0.00 points to end at 0.43 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 8.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which fell 1.54% or 0.22 points to trade at 14.10 at the close. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 1.38% or 0.24 points to end at 17.20 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 0.95% or 0.04 points to 3.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.08% or 0.06 to $74.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $70.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 14.50 to trade at $2,705.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 103.63.
