Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the lost 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the were Galapagos NV (AS:), which rose 0.72% or 0.20 points to trade at 28.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (EBR:) added 0.56% or 0.06 points to end at 10.70 and Argen-X (EBR:) was up 0.55% or 2.80 points to 512.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:), which fell 3.31% or 0.74 points to trade at 21.60 at the close. Elia (EBR:) declined 2.15% or 2.10 points to end at 95.40 and Sofina (EBR:) was down 1.84% or 4.40 points to 234.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 63 to 33 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 3.31% or 0.74 to 21.60. Shares in Argen-X (EBR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.55% or 2.80 to 512.20.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 5.30 to $2,735.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.88% or 1.29 to hit $69.98 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.66% or 1.21 to trade at $74.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 103.75.
