Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:), which rose 2.30% or 0.50 points to trade at 22.20 at the close. Meanwhile, UCB SA (EBR:) added 1.61% or 2.75 points to end at 173.75 and Syensqo SA (EBR:) was up 0.81% or 0.60 points to 74.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aperam SA (AS:), which fell 2.34% or 0.60 points to trade at 25.06 at the close. D’Ieteren NV (EBR:) declined 2.29% or 4.40 points to end at 188.10 and Galapagos NV (AS:) was down 1.57% or 0.44 points to 27.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 59 to 30 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.93% or 25.75 to $2,734.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.49% or 1.07 to hit $70.67 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.45% or 1.10 to trade at $74.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 104.29.
