Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the lost 0.45% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:), which rose 3.10% or 0.25 points to trade at 8.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) added 1.90% or 0.31 points to end at 16.62 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) was up 1.69% or 0.12 points to 7.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 1.86% or 0.09 points to trade at 4.96 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) declined 1.81% or 0.01 points to end at 0.42 and Semapa (ELI:) was down 1.74% or 0.26 points to 14.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.91% or 0.68 to $74.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.03% or 0.73 to hit $70.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 13.00 to trade at $2,742.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 104.06.
