Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the gained 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the were Proximus NV (EBR:), which rose 5.51% or 0.35 points to trade at 6.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (EBR:) added 2.11% or 0.23 points to end at 11.11 and Argen-X (EBR:) was up 1.44% or 7.40 points to 521.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:), which fell 0.53% or 0.32 points to trade at 59.54 at the close. Groep Brussel Lambert NV (EBR:) declined 0.51% or 0.35 points to end at 67.90 and Sofina (EBR:) was down 0.43% or 1.00 points to 229.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 43 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.07% or 1.90 to $2,750.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.92% or 1.35 to hit $71.54 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.88% or 1.40 to trade at $75.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.07.
