Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the declined 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the were Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:), which rose 5.05% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:) added 4.24% or 0.27 points to end at 6.64 and Vale SA (BVMF:) was up 3.40% or 2.03 points to 61.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were IRB Brasil Resseguros SA (BVMF:), which fell 6.49% or 2.87 points to trade at 41.35 at the close. Atacadao SA (BVMF:) declined 6.16% or 0.46 points to end at 7.01 and Hypera SA (BVMF:) was down 5.55% or 1.54 points to 26.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 483 to 470 and 55 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.55% to 29.40.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.31% or 8.55 to $2,757.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.02% or 1.42 to hit $71.61 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.92% or 2.25 to trade at $247.70 .
USD/BRL was up 0.77% to 5.71, while EUR/BRL rose 0.44% to 6.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 104.18.
