Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the gained 0.95%.
The best performers of the session on the were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:), which rose 2.34% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) added 2.24% or 0.40 points to end at 18.27 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 1.73% or 0.09 points to 5.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (ELI:), which fell 2.30% or 0.34 points to trade at 14.42 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) unchanged 0.06% or 0.00 points to end at 0.46 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 2.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.95% or 0.69 to $73.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.97% or 0.67 to hit $69.93 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 2.75 to trade at $2,752.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.09.
