Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Raia Drogasil SA (BVMF:), which rose 4.13% or 1.04 points to trade at 26.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Itausa – Investimentos Itau SA (BVMF:) added 3.84% or 0.41 points to end at 11.08 and Braskem SA (BVMF:) was up 3.28% or 0.56 points to 17.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacadao SA (BVMF:), which fell 4.30% or 0.35 points to trade at 7.79 at the close. Tim Participacoes SA (BVMF:) declined 3.81% or 0.64 points to end at 16.15 and Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:) was down 2.70% or 0.16 points to 5.77.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 477 to 454 and 58 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.73% to 36.11 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 4.90 to $2,751.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.91% or 0.65 to hit $72.12 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 2.05% or 5.05 to trade at $251.00 .
USD/BRL was down 0.83% to 5.74, while EUR/BRL fell 0.38% to 6.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 103.35.
