Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the declined 0.60% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the were Nos SGPS SA (ELI:), which rose 0.74% or 0.03 points to trade at 3.39 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) added 0.28% or 0.03 points to end at 10.67 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) was up 0.27% or 0.02 points to 7.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:), which fell 1.29% or 0.20 points to trade at 15.30 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:) declined 1.02% or 0.05 points to end at 4.38 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:) was down 0.92% or 0.03 points to 3.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.42% or 0.30 to $72.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.40% or 0.27 to hit $68.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.60% or 15.65 to trade at $2,590.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 106.31.
