Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the gained 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the were Adyen NV (AS:), which rose 4.37% or 53.00 points to trade at 1,267.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:) added 2.43% or 15.00 points to end at 631.50 and Relx PLC (AS:) was up 1.97% or 0.84 points to 43.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Universal Music Group NV (AS:), which fell 2.53% or 0.57 points to trade at 21.95 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) declined 1.07% or 0.35 points to end at 32.31 and Randstad NV (AS:) was down 0.86% or 0.35 points to 40.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 49 to 46 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Randstad NV (AS:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 0.86% or 0.35 to 40.30.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.34% or 0.92 to $69.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.24% or 0.90 to hit $73.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 14.20 to trade at $2,665.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.72% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 107.07.
