Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the gained 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the were Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:), which rose 3.48% or 0.70 points to trade at 20.82 at the close. Meanwhile, ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:) added 3.13% or 1.24 points to end at 40.90 and Acciona (BME:) was up 2.94% or 3.30 points to 115.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indra A (BME:), which fell 2.12% or 0.44 points to trade at 20.32 at the close. Enagas (BME:) declined 0.62% or 0.09 points to end at 14.46 and Aena SME SA (BME:) was up 0.16% or 0.30 points to 188.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 150 to 56 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aena SME SA (BME:) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.16% or 0.30 to 188.00.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.44% or 10.35 to $2,341.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.99% or 0.80 to hit $81.53 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.87% or 0.73 to trade at $85.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 105.18.
