Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the lost 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:), which rose 5.38% or 0.84 points to trade at 16.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) added 2.38% or 0.06 points to end at 2.67 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:) was down 0.34% or 0.02 points to 4.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:), which fell 5.07% or 0.38 points to trade at 7.12 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) declined 2.61% or 0.01 points to end at 0.44 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) was down 2.53% or 0.28 points to 10.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 7 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.35% or 0.25 to $71.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.29% or 0.20 to hit $67.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 18.61 to trade at $2,662.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.84% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 106.47.
