Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the gained 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the were Bank Millennium SA (WA:), which rose 5.42% or 0.46 points to trade at 8.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Allegro (WA:) added 4.40% or 1.27 points to end at 30.27 and Text SA (WA:) was up 4.17% or 2.70 points to 67.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:), which fell 3.94% or 0.25 points to trade at 6.05 at the close. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:) declined 3.37% or 0.12 points to end at 3.32 and Enea SA (WA:) was down 2.19% or 0.25 points to 11.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 279 to 241 and 109 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.64% or 0.45 to $69.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.54% or 0.40 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 8.74 to trade at $2,676.64 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.26% to 4.28, while USD/PLN fell 0.45% to 4.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 106.17.
