Meanwhile, FSP Technology Inc (TW:) added 10.00% or 6.40 points to end at 70.40 and Polytronics Technology Corp (TW:) was up 9.98% or 6.20 points to 68.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Hitron Technologies Inc (TW:) declined 9.52% or 3.40 points to end at 32.30 and Shin Tai Industry Co Ltd (TW:) was down 8.50% or 12.50 points to 134.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.06% or 0.04 to $68.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $72.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.00% or 0.06 to trade at $2,676.14 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.09% to 32.39, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 106.14.
