Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the rose 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:), which rose 2.03% or 0.17 points to trade at 8.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS SA (ELI:) added 1.68% or 0.09 points to end at 5.13 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 1.52% or 0.28 points to 18.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 11.51% or 0.32 points to trade at 2.49 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) declined 0.49% or 0.05 points to end at 10.13 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:) was 0.32% or 0.00 points to 0.93.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 0.49% or 0.05 to 10.13.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $72.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $68.51 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 18.64 to trade at $2,657.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.60% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 105.81.
