Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the added 0.05% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Iktinos Hellas (AT:), which rose 6.97% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:) added 4.09% or 0.04 points to end at 0.97 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:) was up 1.57% or 0.06 points to 3.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:), which fell 2.80% or 0.58 points to trade at 20.14 at the close. Lavipharm SA (AT:) declined 1.68% or 0.01 points to end at 0.76 and Thrace Plastic (AT:) was down 1.67% or 0.07 points to 3.83.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 50 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.37% or 9.71 to $2,658.11 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.57% or 1.07 to hit $67.23 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.41% or 1.02 to trade at $71.07 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 105.97.
