Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.89%, while the index declined 0.93%, and the index climbed 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 1.48% or 0.32 points to trade at 21.99 at the close. Meanwhile, SAP SE (ETR:) added 1.26% or 2.26 points to end at 181.72 and Covestro AG (ETR:) was up 1.19% or 0.64 points to 54.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airbus Group SE (ETR:), which fell 9.51% or 14.16 points to trade at 134.70 at the close. Merck KGaA (ETR:) declined 5.72% or 9.55 points to end at 157.50 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 3.50% or 8.00 points to 220.80.
The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 3.27% to 91.55, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.74% to settle at 8.82 and Lanxess AG (ETR:) which gained 2.18% to close at 23.01.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 5.48% to 5.14 in late trade, Stabilus (ETR:) which lost 3.93% to settle at 43.95 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 3.51% to 25.01 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 7.19% to 48.88, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.27% to settle at 91.55 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.74% to close at 8.82.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 2.53% to 27.70 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which lost 2.40% to settle at 219.40 and Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was down 2.37% to 65.90 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 394 to 207 and 36 ended unchanged.
Shares in Covestro AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.19% or 0.64 to 54.50. Shares in Stabilus (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.93% or 1.80 to 43.95. Shares in Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.19% or 3.28 to 48.88. Shares in SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.53% or 0.72 to 27.70.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.42% to 15.24.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.34% or 7.90 to $2,336.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.62% or 0.51 to hit $81.12 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.69% or 0.59 to trade at $84.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 105.34.
