Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the declined 0.37% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:), which rose 2.22% or 2.90 points to trade at 133.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:) added 0.66% or 0.16 points to end at 24.33 and Universal Music Group NV (AS:) was up 0.57% or 0.14 points to 24.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Adyen NV (AS:), which fell 1.46% or 21.00 points to trade at 1,420.00 at the close. Prosus (AS:) declined 1.45% or 0.58 points to end at 39.28 and Wolters Kluwer (AS:) was down 0.99% or 1.60 points to 159.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 60 to 43 and 6 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.98% or 0.68 to $68.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.96% or 0.70 to hit $71.86 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 13.34 to trade at $2,631.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 107.78.
