Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.23%, while the index added 0.33%, and the index added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the were Covestro AG (ETR:), which rose 1.75% or 1.00 points to trade at 58.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) added 1.31% or 8.00 points to end at 619.60 and Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:) was up 0.96% or 1.15 points to 120.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.98% or 1.76 points to trade at 87.04 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) declined 1.62% or 0.58 points to end at 35.18 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.49% or 4.80 points to 317.80.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 7.77% to 15.32, Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which was up 3.47% to settle at 70.00 and Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.81% to close at 69.42.
The worst performers were K+S AG (ETR:) which was down 1.52% to 10.40 in late trade, AUTO1 Group SE (ETR:) which lost 1.02% to settle at 15.60 and Puma SE (ETR:) which was down 0.88% to 45.13 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 7.77% to 15.32, Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was up 4.03% to settle at 113.60 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which gained 2.60% to close at 9.47.
The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 3.21% to 79.95 in late trade, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) which lost 2.49% to settle at 66.60 and SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which was down 1.10% to 49.45 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 319 to 318 and 44 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.85% to 15.84.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.49% or 12.84 to $2,632.26 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.95% or 0.66 to hit $68.80 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.96% or 0.70 to trade at $71.86 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 107.81.
