Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the added 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the were D’Ieteren NV (EBR:), which rose 2.43% or 3.90 points to trade at 164.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Argen-X (EBR:) added 1.55% or 9.20 points to end at 604.60 and Aedifica (EBR:) was up 1.35% or 0.75 points to 56.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UCB SA (EBR:), which fell 1.17% or 2.25 points to trade at 189.40 at the close. Umicore SA (EBR:) declined 0.69% or 0.07 points to end at 10.10 and Elia (EBR:) was down 0.07% or 0.05 points to 73.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 66 to 31 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.14% or 3.71 to $2,631.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.30% or 0.90 to hit $70.14 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.18% or 0.85 to trade at $73.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 108.02.
