Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the rose 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the were CCC SA (WA:), which rose 2.42% or 4.40 points to trade at 186.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Alior Bank SA (WA:) added 2.11% or 1.84 points to end at 89.14 and Kruk SA (WA:) was up 1.81% or 7.60 points to 426.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Allegro (WA:), which fell 2.12% or 0.57 points to trade at 26.60 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:) declined 1.98% or 0.43 points to end at 21.30 and Orange Polska SA (WA:) was down 1.15% or 0.08 points to 7.19.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 257 to 256 and 105 ended unchanged.
Shares in Allegro (WA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.12% or 0.57 to 26.60. Shares in Orange Polska SA (WA:) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.15% or 0.08 to 7.19.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.37% or 1.75 to $75.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.38% or 1.83 to hit $78.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.09% or 29.39 to trade at $2,720.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.19% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 0.86% to 4.17.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 109.59.
