Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:), which rose 1.61% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) added 1.22% or 0.20 points to end at 16.55 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 1.01% or 0.01 points to 0.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (ELI:), which fell 0.42% or 0.06 points to trade at 14.30 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) declined 0.13% or 0.01 points to end at 7.91 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 7.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 6 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) fell to 3-years lows; down 0.13% or 0.01 to 7.91.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.93% or 0.75 to $80.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.89% or 0.69 to hit $76.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.34 to trade at $2,682.94 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP rose 0.66% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 109.26.
