Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the gained 1.05% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the were S2M (CSE:), which rose 8.48% or 24.50 points to trade at 313.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlanta (CSE:) added 8.33% or 11.00 points to end at 143.00 and Total Maroc SA (CSE:) was up 6.67% or 100.00 points to 1,600.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Holding S.A (CSE:), which fell 4.34% or 2.95 points to trade at 65.05 at the close. Disty Technologies SA (CSE:) declined 2.97% or 9.15 points to end at 298.80 and Colorado (CSE:) was down 2.95% or 1.80 points to 59.19.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 36 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in S2M (CSE:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 8.48% or 24.50 to 313.50.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.89% or 1.44 to $77.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.49% or 1.19 to hit $81.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 17.61 to trade at $2,699.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.41% to 10.36, while USD/MAD fell 0.19% to 10.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 108.67.
