The best performers of the session on the were Hwang Chang General Contractor Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 6.60 points to trade at 72.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.96% or 0.84 points to end at 9.27 and USI Corp (TW:) was up 9.80% or 1.00 points to 11.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cosmo Electronics Corp (TW:), which fell 9.89% or 7.50 points to trade at 68.30 at the close. Capital Securities Corp (TW:) declined 7.43% or 2.10 points to end at 26.15 and BizLink Holding Inc (TW:) was down 7.19% or 42.00 points to 542.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.09% or 0.07 to $78.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $82.06 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.94 to trade at $2,723.74 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.04% to 32.95, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 109.03.
