Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the gained 1.53% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:), which rose 4.71% or 6.65 points to trade at 147.80 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:) added 4.59% or 32.70 points to end at 745.40 and ASM International NV (AS:) was up 4.11% or 24.60 points to 623.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prosus (AS:), which fell 0.52% or 0.18 points to trade at 34.41 at the close. Shell PLC (AS:) added 0.11% or 0.04 points to end at 32.17 and Exor NV (AS:) was up 0.39% or 0.35 points to 90.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 61 to 39 and 10 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.35% or 1.06 to $77.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.21% or 0.99 to hit $81.04 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.37% or 37.31 to trade at $2,755.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 108.82.
