Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.24%, while the index declined 0.07%, and the index gained 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 3.31% or 1.66 points to trade at 51.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) added 3.22% or 1.68 points to end at 53.78 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 1.88% or 13.00 points to 705.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:), which fell 1.79% or 1.42 points to trade at 77.84 at the close. Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.47% or 0.53 points to end at 35.56 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.94% or 0.17 points to 17.92.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.38% to 42.88, Tui AG NA (ETR:) which was up 5.26% to settle at 8.16 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which gained 2.52% to close at 67.05.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 8.94% to 26.49 in late trade, SCHOTT Pharma AG & Co KgaA (ETR:) which lost 6.72% to settle at 23.60 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 3.06% to 117.10 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were IONOS Group SE (ETR:) which rose 7.66% to 23.90, Kontron AG (ETR:) which was up 6.19% to settle at 19.55 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which gained 3.22% to close at 53.78.
The worst performers were Formycon AG (ETR:) which was down 3.72% to 54.30 in late trade, SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which lost 3.06% to settle at 45.95 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.77% to 12.20 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 322 to 296 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.88% or 13.00 to 705.40.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 6.82% to 15.53.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.41% or 11.39 to $2,760.09 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.62% or 1.25 to hit $76.14 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.89% or 0.71 to trade at $79.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.30% at 107.78.
