Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were ASM International NV (AS:), which rose 2.28% or 14.00 points to trade at 628.20 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:) added 2.14% or 15.70 points to end at 748.10 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:) was up 1.11% or 1.60 points to 145.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which fell 2.04% or 0.47 points to trade at 22.52 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:) declined 1.59% or 0.25 points to end at 15.76 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:) was down 1.34% or 0.22 points to 15.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 61 to 33 and 13 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.07% or 0.05 to $75.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $79.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 9.64 to trade at $2,768.84 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 108.03.
