Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.86% to hit a new 6-months high, while the index gained 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the were Renault SA (EPA:), which rose 3.09% or 1.49 points to trade at 49.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Legrand SA (EPA:) added 2.99% or 2.98 points to end at 102.70 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) was up 2.64% or 6.95 points to 269.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Carrefour SA (EPA:), which fell 2.41% or 0.32 points to trade at 13.15 at the close. Vivendi SA (EPA:) declined 2.22% or 0.06 points to end at 2.46 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was down 2.04% or 0.47 points to 22.52.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Renault SA (EPA:) which rose 3.09% to 49.66, Legrand SA (EPA:) which was up 2.99% to settle at 102.70 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) which gained 2.64% to close at 269.80.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:) which was unchanged 4.55% to 0.00 in late trade, Emeis SA (EPA:) which lost 4.38% to settle at 5.61 and Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which was down 4.32% to 2.04 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 266 to 227 and 90 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.36% or 9.99 to $2,769.19 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $75.94 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.12 to trade at $79.41 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 108.01.
