Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the fell 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sofina (EBR:), which rose 4.66% or 10.80 points to trade at 242.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:) added 0.93% or 0.18 points to end at 19.59 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:) was up 0.83% or 1.30 points to 158.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elia (EBR:), which fell 3.81% or 2.55 points to trade at 64.30 at the close. KBC Groep NV (EBR:) declined 3.04% or 2.28 points to end at 72.80 and Solvay SA (EBR:) was down 2.19% or 0.67 points to 29.96.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 45 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.35% or 9.59 to $2,768.79 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $75.86 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $79.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 108.01.
