Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the gained 0.01% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the were Text SA (WA:), which rose 2.73% or 1.50 points to trade at 56.50 at the close. Meanwhile, BUDIMEX SA (WA:) added 2.64% or 12.40 points to end at 481.80 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:) was up 1.92% or 1.90 points to 100.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rainbow Tours SA (WA:), which fell 2.34% or 3.00 points to trade at 125.00 at the close. Alior Bank SA (WA:) declined 2.11% or 1.94 points to end at 90.02 and Enea SA (WA:) was down 2.04% or 0.28 points to 13.44.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 270 to 261 and 96 ended unchanged.
Shares in Asseco Poland SA (WA:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.92% or 1.90 to 100.70.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.33% or 1.00 to $74.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.14% or 0.90 to hit $78.10 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 10.51 to trade at $2,760.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.17% to 4.21, while USD/PLN fell 0.17% to 4.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 108.01.
