Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were United Renewable Energy Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 1.25 points to trade at 13.75 at the close. Meanwhile, G.M.I Technology Inc (TW:) added 9.95% or 7.50 points to end at 82.90 and Danen Technology Corp (TW:) was up 9.93% or 2.15 points to 23.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pegatron Corp (TW:), which fell 10.48% or 12.00 points to trade at 102.50 at the close. Spirox Corp (TW:) declined 10.00% or 10.40 points to end at 93.60 and Lead Data Inc (TW:) was down 9.85% or 0.39 points to 3.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in G.M.I Technology Inc (TW:) rose to all time highs; rising 9.95% or 7.50 to 82.90. Shares in Danen Technology Corp (TW:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.93% or 2.15 to 23.80.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.65% or 0.53 to $82.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.54% or 0.46 to hit $85.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.40 to trade at $2,336.20 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.31% to 32.46, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.31% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 105.72.
