Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the fell 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sekerbank TAS (IS:), which rose 9.79% or 0.41 points to trade at 4.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Biotrend Cevre ve Enerji Yatirimlari AS (IS:) added 7.84% or 1.62 points to end at 22.28 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:) was up 6.51% or 15.10 points to 247.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akbank TAS (IS:), which fell 4.19% or 2.80 points to trade at 64.05 at the close. Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:) declined 4.06% or 0.61 points to end at 14.41 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:) was down 3.93% or 0.48 points to 11.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 301 to 252 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:) rose to all time highs; up 6.51% or 15.10 to 247.10.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.09% or 2.05 to $2,338.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.60% or 0.49 to hit $81.25 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.55% or 0.47 to trade at $84.79 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.06% to 32.78, while EUR/TRY fell 0.22% to 35.20.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 105.52.
