Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.43%, while the index added 0.63%, and the index gained 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the were Continental AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 9.54% or 5.14 points to trade at 59.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) added 2.02% or 10.20 points to end at 515.20 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.72% or 3.80 points to 224.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:), which fell 0.96% or 1.10 points to trade at 113.60 at the close. SAP SE (ETR:) declined 0.34% or 0.64 points to end at 187.02 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) was down 0.32% or 0.28 points to 88.16.
The top performers on the MDAX were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which rose 12.80% to 129.50, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was up 12.44% to settle at 6.11 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 4.93% to close at 12.55.
The worst performers were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.61% to 40.62 in late trade, Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which lost 2.12% to settle at 13.84 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 1.79% to 21.34 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 8.63% to 64.20, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.93% to settle at 12.55 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 2.33% to close at 36.00.
The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 2.79% to 76.60 in late trade, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which lost 0.58% to settle at 20.60 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 0.37% to 93.25 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 359 to 231 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.61% or 1.52 to 40.62. Shares in Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 8.63% or 5.10 to 64.20.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.77% to 13.45.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.14% or 3.30 to $2,366.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $83.91 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.14 to trade at $87.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 104.82.
