Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the fell 0.26%, while the index climbed 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:), which rose 4.38% or 2.01 points to trade at 47.93 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) added 2.21% or 0.84 points to end at 38.93 and Vinci SA (EPA:) was up 1.84% or 1.90 points to 105.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Accor SA (EPA:), which fell 2.33% or 0.92 points to trade at 38.65 at the close. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) declined 1.21% or 2.80 points to end at 227.75 and Air Liquide SA (EPA:) was down 1.17% or 1.94 points to 163.46.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Clariane SE (EPA:) which rose 13.26% to 2.24, Soitec SA (EPA:) which was up 5.06% to settle at 110.00 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) which gained 4.38% to close at 47.93.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:) which was down 4.89% to 0.73 in late trade, Euroapi SAS (EPA:) which lost 4.42% to settle at 2.64 and Ipsen SA (EPA:) which was down 2.71% to 111.20 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 258 to 242 and 98 ended unchanged.
Shares in Atos SE (EPA:) fell to all time lows; falling 4.89% or 0.04 to 0.73.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.07% or 25.45 to $2,394.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.39% or 0.33 to hit $84.21 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.21 to trade at $87.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 104.64.
