Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the declined 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the were Regional SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 1.09% or 1.51 points to trade at 139.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:) added 1.07% or 2.64 points to end at 249.14 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:) was up 0.55% or 0.81 points to 148.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 3.45% or 0.40 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:) declined 3.42% or 5.25 points to end at 148.41 and Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was down 2.90% or 1.33 points to 44.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 132 to 101 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.19% or 28.25 to $2,397.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.73% or 0.61 to hit $83.27 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.66 to trade at $86.77 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.07% to 18.09, while EUR/MXN rose 0.21% to 19.61.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 104.54.
