Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the rose 0.14% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the were AVer Information Inc (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 5.50 points to trade at 60.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:) added 10.00% or 1.35 points to end at 14.85 and Ritek Corp (TW:) was up 10.00% or 1.65 points to 18.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Fortune Electric Co Ltd (TW:) declined 7.78% or 79.00 points to end at 936.00 and Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW:) was down 7.45% or 20.50 points to 254.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in AVer Information Inc (TW:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 10.00% or 5.50 to 60.50. Shares in Ritek Corp (TW:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 10.00% or 1.65 to 18.15.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.52% or 0.43 to $82.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.38% or 0.33 to hit $86.21 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 8.30 to trade at $2,389.40 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was unchanged 0.00% to 32.41, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 104.64.
