Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the fell 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:), which rose 2.15% or 0.20 points to trade at 9.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) added 1.99% or 0.01 points to end at 0.37 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 1.33% or 0.05 points to 3.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:), which fell 2.26% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.55 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) declined 1.53% or 0.21 points to end at 13.51 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 1.29% or 0.03 points to 2.29.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.88% or 0.76 to $85.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.00% or 0.83 to hit $82.33 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.50% or 35.90 to trade at $2,361.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 104.62.
