Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The worst performers of the session were Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:), which fell 3.43% or 2.24 points to trade at 63.15 at the close. Airbus Group SE (ETR:) declined 2.84% or 3.86 points to end at 131.82 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:) was down 2.71% or 0.71 points to 25.35.
The top performers on the MDAX were LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 1.51% to 77.96, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was up 1.46% to settle at 138.70 and Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which gained 1.45% to close at 14.00.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 7.97% to 5.66 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.58% to settle at 9.39 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 4.56% to 20.52 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 0.31% to 65.00, Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which was up 0.22% to settle at 53.54 and Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 0.09% to close at 44.82.
The worst performers were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 32.16% to 16.20 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which lost 4.63% to settle at 26.38 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 4.58% to 9.39 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 475 to 186 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Covestro AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 0.88% or 0.48 to 55.32. Shares in Bayer AG NA (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.71% or 0.71 to 25.35. Shares in Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.31% or 0.20 to 65.00. Shares in CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 32.16% or 7.68 to 16.20.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.21% or 5.05 to $2,368.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.25% or 1.03 to hit $81.30 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 1.13 to trade at $84.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.83.
