Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the rose 0.09% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the were Cheng Uei Precision Industry Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 8.10 points to trade at 89.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Evertop Wire Cable Corp (TW:) added 10.00% or 2.40 points to end at 26.40 and Zero One Technology Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.95% or 10.50 points to 116.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EverFocus Electronics Corp (TW:), which fell 10.00% or 10.70 points to trade at 96.30 at the close. U-Tech Media Corp (TW:) declined 9.98% or 2.75 points to end at 24.80 and Cheer Time Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:) was down 9.90% or 3.50 points to 31.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Cheng Uei Precision Industry Co Ltd (TW:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 10.00% or 8.10 to 89.10. Shares in Zero One Technology Co Ltd (TW:) rose to all time highs; rising 9.95% or 10.50 to 116.00.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.50% or 0.41 to $81.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.59% or 0.50 to hit $84.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 6.90 to trade at $2,374.80 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.09% to 32.59, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 104.81.
